Why Monero?

Is PrivCart open source?
Yes. Our code is public for anyone to check. This ensures there are no hidden backdoors or security flaws. You don't have to trust us; you can verify the code yourself.
Is PrivCart non-custodial?
Yes. We never touch your money. Payments go directly from the customer to your wallet. You have 100% control of your funds at all times.
Do you require KYC or account registration?
No. You don't need to register an account or upload ID documents. PrivCart is software you install, not a service you subscribe to.
What are the transaction fees?
We charge a flat 1% fee on transactions. Aside from that, you only pay the standard network fees (miner fees) required to send the crypto.
How does PrivCart handle price volatility?
We support stablecoins like USDT and USDC. These are pegged to the US Dollar, allowing you to accept crypto without worrying about price swings.
Is the plugin available on the Shopify App Store?
Not yet. It is currently in beta. We provide easy installation guides for now and plan to list it officially in the future.
Do I need a specific wallet to use PrivCart?
No. Any wallet works. Just paste your receiving address into PrivCart, and you are ready to accept payments.
How are exchange rates calculated?
We use real-time market data to calculate the exact crypto amount at checkout, ensuring it matches your product's price in dollars.
What happens if a customer underpays?
The order stays "Pending." You get a notification and can either ask for the remaining amount or issue a refund manually.
Can I process refunds automatically?
No. Since we don't have access to your wallet (for your security), we can't move your funds. You must send refunds manually from your own wallet.
Why choose PrivCart over BitPay or Coinbase Commerce?
They act like banks—they can freeze your money, charge high fees, and demand ID. PrivCart cuts out the middleman, giving you lower fees and total control.
Does it support Tor / I2P?
We are working on it. This will allow transactions to be broadcast over privacy networks like Tor, hiding your location and internet traffic completely.
